Rafael Perez-Segura is a Mexican-American bicultural and bilingual educator. The son of Mexican immigrants, he grew up in rural eastern Connecticut and spent his summers in Mexico, where the majority of his family resides. Over the past eleven years, Rafa has taught Spanish/English dual language kindergarten, dual language first grade, second grade special education, dual language fifth grade, and 2-5 year olds. He is passionate about providing children and families with the highest quality of care, love, and pedagogy. 

Rafa received his Masters in Elementary Education with an authorization in bilingual education from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Education.  In his spare time, Rafa enjoys reading, writing, cooking, and dancing! He lives with his partner and plants in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn. Rafa@micasitabk.org
