Marta grew up in Badajoz, a city in Spain’s southwestern region of Extremadura. Before joining One World Project, she taught at Instituto Cervantes in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and CENY, a Spanish immersion school in Manhattan. She has also volunteered with children in a variety of settings, including the Academy of St. Joseph, CENY, and a refugee camp in Bali.

Marta holds a degree in Elementary Education from UNEX in Badajoz and a Master’s in Bilingual Education from UNIR. She completed her teaching internship at the International School of Brooklyn and earned her CDA (Child Development Associate) from CUNY SPS in 2024. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Bilingual Early Childhood Education at Hunter College. She also received a scholarship to participate in the Darmasiswa Indonesian Art and Culture program in Bali. 

As a teacher, Marta values cultural understanding, community, and care for the environment. In her free time, she loves painting, making crafts, and dancing salsa at a professional academy. She brings this love of creativity and the arts into the classroom, encouraging children to explore, express themselves, and have fun learning.
